FATMAP & Suunto #VerticalWeek 2022

We’ve partnered with Suunto As part of their #VerticalWeek that starts on Monday 14th March.

Challenge yourself to get outdoors and gain as many vertical meters as you can, share your adventure and be in with the chance to win a Suunto 9 Peak!

Suunto is world-renowned for creating incredible sports watches, dive computers and precision instruments for the toughest conditions and a number of FATMAP Pro Ambassadors already swear by their products.

FATMAP users can connect their Suunto and FATMAP accounts, automatically bringing old and new tracked routes into their profile. This allows them to see stunning fly-throughs of their adventures on our high-resolution 3D map and share them with the FATMAP community.

FATMAP Explore members also have the advantage of being able to send adventures from FATMAP directly to their Suunto device.

Combining the FATMAP terrain graphics with Suunto for route planning, has allowed me to have very interesting freeride adventures. This is also a very good way to understand and get information about the more dangerous spot in the routes as well as the climbs and vertical metres. FATMAP is a great asset for me to work more responsibly in the mountains and combined with Suunto, it’s everything I need!
— Antti Autti, pro-snowboarder

#VerticalWeek

In the week of 14th - 20th March, 2022, Suunto are hosting their annual World Vertical Week, encouraging people to get outside and have some fun tracking their vertical metres!

With the FATMAP & Suunto integrations, it’s now easier than ever to find, plan and share your adventures. Simply head over to the settings in the FATMAP app and hit the Connect with Suunto button (full how-to article here)!

Once connected, FATMAP Explore members will now also see the ability to send any route or adventure from FATMAP directly to their Suunto device. You’ll find the “Send to Suunto” button on the adventure details panel of any route.

I use my Suunto watch basically every day for my mountain adventures! Now having the FATMAP connection, I can see where I have been on the 3D map, use their terrain tools and so many more cool features. Definitely pretty helpful for me!
